Black Pearl

For the love of seafood and all that is good...

Black Pearl hands down is my favourite seafood restaurant in Edmonton. I love, and I say LOVE, oysters and this is the best place to get your buck a shuck oysters daily from 5-7 pm. And even if you do miss the buck a shuck bonanza, you can still enjoy these fresh, locally sourced east coast oysters for $2/shuck which is still a pretty great deal for me!

The atmosphere is very relaxing and the decor truly inspires a Pirates of the Caribbean feel:

I have dined with friends and my mom here numerous times and we enjoyed the experience with our every visit. I have also ventured here alone and still enjoyed my seafood feast.

I love everything on their menu, but if I were to give recommendations, I would recommend their honey nut lobster, scallops, and prawns. It is creamy and has big chunks of lobster and prawns:

However, if you can't choose and just want a little bit of everything, go for the "chill pack" to enjoy the east coast oysters, tiger prawn cocktail, Japanese ahi tuna sashimi, and snow crab. However, personally, I prefer salmon sashimi but this was still enjoyable on my palate:

For our friends who can't eat raw food (or chose not to), this grilled seafood platter is something that they can enjoy. Atlantic lobster, seared haddock, calamari, prawns, and a creamy Parmigiano risotto. Just writing this paragraph makes me want to have a plate of this.

After feasting on this fresh seafood, you would still have some room for dessert and I recommend their creme brulee!

Black Pearl is located at 10132 104th St., Edmonton, AB T5X 1J7, and there is always ample street parking right in front of the restaurant. They tend to be busy so I recommend calling them at 780-705-7887 to make a reservation.

Check out their menu and here is a link to their Instagram and Facebook accounts.
